This film was created as a college project for film class. The assignment was to make a film ten minutes long. The film was never finalized. We filmed the entire thing, but we did one major thing wrong, we didn't film what the script had. We also would film scenes without each other. I also felt that what we each wanted was completely different in style, writing, characters, character names and even the title. I wanted it to be called Bank Heist Massacre at first. Then I felt that it should be called Blood Money, because the movie never has any bank scenes, except for the opening montage.

Throughout the film you can notice that the time of day fluctuates. This has to do with me wanting to film certain night scenes in daylight. However I never wanted the indoor murder of max done during the night; do to large amounts of light coming through the windows. But Alex filmed it in the day because the person playing Max needed to leave. So when I came in to do extra scenes (at night) the final pieces never fit. Because the windows had too much light, we tried to manipulate the windows in After Effects but they never turned out right; the scene where Max is watching TV is a good example.

I haven’t talked to Alex in a very long time (no bad blood, just haven't seen him). The films editing was almost completed on his computer, it just needed ADR and a lot of tightening. On September 4th 2006 I found a disk in my room that contained many scenes from the film. I took them, and edited them together. Since this is an edit of all the material I have, Blood Money is only an Assembly Cut. I hope you enjoy at least pieces of this film.

Blood Money was filmed using a Sony VX2000. The film was edited using Apple's Final Cut Pro 5.
